The Kore guide to gyms and fitness in Marbella: 2026 update

Marbella is a place that makes you want to get outside and be active. Thanks to its fabulous climate with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, a strong beach culture and the Mediterranean on the doorstep, exercise often feels like a natural part of everyday life.

Mornings begin with runners and walkers along the paseo, the sea draws swimmers and water sports enthusiasts, while the mountains provide a spectacular backdrop for hiking and cycling. Add golf, tennis and padel to the mix and it is easy to see why Marbella has developed such a strong sporting culture.

Fitness has long been part of life in Marbella, but the choice in 2026 goes far beyond the traditional gym. Across Marbella, the Golden Mile, Nueva Andalucía and San Pedro Alcántara, specialist strength and conditioning centres sit alongside CrossFit boxes, Pilates studios, racquet clubs and increasingly sophisticated spaces combining training with recovery and wellness.

The city’s sporting credentials extend well beyond its fitness centres. Marbella has hosted the IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella triathlon since 2018, drawing athletes to a challenging course combining swimming, cycling and running. Its reputation as a sporting destination reached another level in November 2025, when it became the first Spanish destination to host the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, welcoming thousands of competitors from around the world.

It was a fitting choice for a place where an active lifestyle comes naturally. For residents and second-home owners, the fitness infrastructure is equally impressive. Read on for our Kore Estates guide to some of the standout places to train in and around Marbella in 2026.

ICONŚ Marbella, Golden Mile

One of the newest arrivals on the Golden Mile, ICONŚ describes itself as a Social Wellness Club, bringing fitness, recovery and community together within one highly curated space. The concept goes beyond the conventional gym, combining serious training with restorative practices, social connection and a strong biohacking element.

The fitness offer includes the latest Technogym equipment and body-scanning technology, Reformer Pilates and trainer-led functional group classes, with an infrared heated studio also joining the programme.

Recovery is integral to the ICONŚ concept. Traditional sauna and cold plunge rituals sit alongside technologies including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, red light therapy and compression recovery boots, giving members a wide range of options to complement their training.

It is a distinctly contemporary take on the health club, designed as somewhere to train, recover and spend time, with performance, wellness and community all under one roof.

ICONŚ is very much representative of the direction in which the premium fitness market is moving: less distinction between the gym and wellness and greater emphasis on performance, recovery and longevity within the same environment.

Puente Romano Tennis Club, Golden Mile

One of Marbella’s best-known sporting institutions, Puente Romano Tennis Club is about considerably more than tennis. Open to membership, the club combines its renowned racquet facilities with an indoor and outdoor gym, fitness classes and an increasingly comprehensive approach to training and recovery.

The fitness centre features Technogym ARTIS equipment, with personal training and functional performance programmes available alongside spinning and yoga. It also has a dedicated Reformer Pilates studio offering group and private sessions, while sports massage and a Turkish bath provide options for post-training recovery.

Tennis naturally remains at the heart of the club, with eight clay courts, while eight glass padel courts reflect the extraordinary growth in popularity of the sport in Marbella. Coaching is available for adults and children, from beginners through to advanced and professional players.

For Golden Mile residents who like to combine gym training with tennis or padel, it offers one of the most prestigious, established and comprehensive sporting memberships in Marbella.

Marbella Club Wellness, Golden Mile

Marbella Club takes a more holistic approach to fitness, combining exercise with the wider wellness philosophy for which the hotel has become known.

Personal training and cross-training sit alongside yoga, Pilates and Reformer Pilates, meditation and other forms of movement, while the Mediterranean setting encourages exercise to extend beyond the gym. Running and walking along the seafront, hiking and cycling can all become part of the programme.

The resort’s Thalasso Spa adds another layer of recovery and wellbeing, and year-round Wellness Memberships make the facilities relevant to Marbella residents as well as hotel guests.

It is a good example of how fitness at the upper end of the Marbella market has evolved into something broader than simply working out.

Los Naranjos Padel Club, Nueva Andalucía

Reflecting just how important padel has become to the Marbella lifestyle, Los Naranjos Padel Club is one of the largest additions to Nueva Andalucía’s sporting scene in recent years.

Created by Los Naranjos Golf Club on an extensive 20,000m2 site, the complex is one of the largest padel clubs in Spain, with 18 courts including outdoor and semi-covered courts, a competition court and a dedicated singles court. Pickleball has also joined the programme, adding another rapidly growing racquet sport to the mix.

This is more than a place for a knock-about on a padel court. The club includes a boutique gym, physiotherapy, a specialist sports shop, a children’s area and a restaurant, creating a broader sports and social destination.

Both memberships and individual court bookings are available, while membership options can include access to the gym as well as padel and pickleball. For residents of Nueva Andalucía, it is an impressive addition to an area already exceptionally well served for sport and fitness.

THE I/O, San Pedro Alcántara

THE I/O is much more than a gym. This members’ health club in San Pedro Alcántara brings training, recovery and wellness together in a stylish, sociable setting designed to become part of your everyday routine.

Its fitness spaces cater for strength, conditioning and cardio training, complemented by a varied programme of group classes and expert coaching. The emphasis is on giving members different ways to train, whether that means a focused individual workout or the energy and motivation of a group session.

Recovery and wellbeing are an important part of the concept, with facilities including red light therapy, sauna and cold-water contrast therapy.

But it is the overall club experience that sets THE I/O apart. With spaces to train, recover, meet and spend time, it reflects a more contemporary approach to fitness where looking after yourself extends beyond the workout itself. Membership is application-based, with day passes also available.

Le Max Wellness at El Lago Club, Real de La Quinta

Set around the lake at Real de La Quinta, Le Max El Lago Club takes the idea of a fitness and wellness club considerably further. This private members’ club brings sport, wellness, outdoor activities, leisure and dining together in one lakeside setting, with both memberships and day passes available.

At its heart is a state-of-the-art fitness centre, complemented by yoga, Hot Yoga and Pilates, tennis and padel courts and a six-hole Executive Golf Course. The lake itself is part of the sporting offer, with paddleboarding, kayaking and water bikes, while trails around the water provide a setting for running, walking and cycling.

The wellness facilities are equally extensive. A 25-metre heated indoor pool overlooks the lake, along with a hydrotherapy circuit, jacuzzi, cryotherapy plunge pool, sauna and hammam, plus massages and body and facial treatments.

It’s also a delightful place just to spend the day. A natural sandy beach and beach club sit beside the lake, while the Saltao restaurant serves Peruvian-Mediterranean cuisine overlooking the water.

The result is less a conventional health club than an all-round sports and leisure destination, making particularly good use of Real de La Quinta’s natural setting.

Real Club Pádel Marbella

Despite the name, Real Club Pádel Marbella offers considerably more than racquet sports.

Its extensive indoor and outdoor facilities include a fully equipped gym, free weights and cardio, Cross Workout, functional training, TRX and HYROX, as well as Pilates and yoga. There is also a substantial combat sports programme spanning boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA and other disciplines.

Then, of course, there is padel, with six courts and an academy catering for different ages and abilities.

For anyone who prefers variety rather than specialising in one type of training, Real Club Pádel is one of the most comprehensive sports clubs in the area.

Elements Gym Marbella, San Pedro Alcántara

Elements has built a strong reputation among people who take strength and performance training seriously.

Its facilities are spread across several dedicated zones, including a main gym floor with extensive specialist strength equipment, an outdoor training terrace and a purpose-built HYROX area equipped for sled work, ergs, bikes and other competition-style training.

HYROX has become an increasingly visible part of Marbella’s fitness scene, and Elements was an early adopter, with coaches who also compete in the events themselves.

Recovery is given almost as much attention as training. Ice baths, an infrared sauna and massage therapy allow members to incorporate recovery into their routine rather than treating it as an afterthought.

Banús Sport Club, Puerto Banús

In the heart of Puerto Banús on Avenida Playas del Duque, Banús Sport Club combines high-specification gym facilities with a focus on personalised training and performance.

Technogym Biostrength equipment uses testing and biofeedback to tailor resistance and track performance, while the wider programme includes strength and cardiovascular training, HIIT, indoor cycling, yoga and Pilates.

Its Puerto Banús location makes it particularly convenient for residents of the marina and lower Nueva Andalucía, as well as second-home owners who want high-quality training facilities nearby.

CrossFit Marbella, San Pedro Alcántara

CrossFit remains an important part of Marbella’s fitness culture, with CrossFit Marbella being one of the most prominent locations since 2013.

The facility has expanded considerably since then and now offers CrossFit alongside BeachFit and HYROX-style training. CrossFit itself combines functional movement, Olympic lifting, gymnastics and conditioning within structured, coached sessions, while BeachFit provides a high-intensity alternative without barbell work.

One of the enduring attractions is the community aspect. For people relocating to Marbella, a CrossFit box can provide a social network as well as somewhere to train, while flexible training options also work well for those spending only part of the year here.

M13 Gym, Nueva Andalucía

M13 offers a more traditional gym experience in a particularly convenient location at Centro Plaza in Nueva Andalucía.

Spread over two floors, the gym has around 700m2 of training space, including free weights, a CrossFit-style training area, spinning and a separate room for classes. Personal coaching and massage are also available.

For residents who want a well-equipped gym without the wider wellness-club format, its combination of facilities and central Nueva Andalucía location remains a practical choice.

From CrossFit to Reformer Pilates: how Marbella is training in 2026

What stands out about Marbella’s current fitness scene is its diversity.

CrossFit remains firmly established, while HYROX has added another competitive dimension to functional training. Reformer Pilates has moved into the mainstream and can now be found within some of the area’s leading gyms and wellness clubs as well as specialist studios.

Recovery is also playing a much bigger role in Marbella’s fitness scene. Cold plunges, saunas and massage are increasingly offered alongside more advanced recovery technology, giving members the option to build recovery into their regular training routine.

At the same time, Marbella remains a place where it is easy to exercise outdoors. Golf, tennis and padel have long been part of local life, while the coast and surrounding countryside provide a natural setting for running, hiking, cycling and water sports.

Hosting the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship only reinforced what residents already knew: Marbella takes exercise seriously.

Fitness as part of the Marbella lifestyle

For people who train regularly, where they choose to live can make a real difference to their routine, and this can definitely come into play when choosing a property. Being within walking distance or a short drive of the gym you use every morning, your regular padel game or the Pilates studio you visit several times a week can have as much influence on day-to-day life as proximity to a favourite restaurant or the beach.

At Kore Estates, we understand that finding the right Marbella property is also about finding the location that works for the way you live. Our local knowledge can help you focus your search on the neighbourhoods that put the lifestyle, facilities and activities that matter to you within easy reach.
